This a a warning letter.
Read it with a cup of coffee.
If you have biscuits, its another wonderful side kick.
The exams of your children are to start soon. I know you are all really “bimbang” for your child to do well.
But, PLEASE do remember, amongst the students, who will be sitting for this UPSR exams, there is an artist, who doesn’t need to understand Maths.
There is an entrepreneur, who doesn’t care about History or English Literature.
There’s a musician, whose Science or DST marks won’t matter.
There’s a sportsperson, whose physical fitness or becoming “Abam SADO” is more important than writing long essays. No need to mention about how to write short summary, that’s harder than learning how to do banana kick.
If your child does get top marks, that’s great!
You can give them BMW or bring them to Legoland and have fun.
But, if he or she doesn’t, please don’t take away their self-confidence and dignity from them.
Don’t angry with them.
Don’t said their are “bodoh” people.
Don’t look them with scariest face even all of us know you are not handsome or beautiful person.
Tell them, it’s OK.
It’s just an exam!
They are cut out for much bigger things in life.
Tell them, no matter what they score, you love them and will not judge them.
Please do this, and when you do, watch your children conquer the world without giving them smartphone to play Pokemon Go. Many genius or bodoh people still can get a job or become successful person without having smartphone in their life. They also never have chance to play Pokomeno Go!
One exam or a low mark won’t take away their dreams and talent.
Even all mother in our country believe getting more A’s in UPSR is important than cooking delicious lunch for their husband.
And please, do not thing that doctors, lawyer and engineers are the only happy people in the world.
Tell them, let’s become a teacher.
We need MORE teacher in future especially Physical Education teacher or what we called “Cikgu PJ”
Not only doctors, lawyer and engineers.
With Warms Regards
